Your Order

You place an order for one or more Product(s) on the Website by completing the checkout process

Please note that completion of the online check-out process does not constitute our acceptance of your order. Our acceptance of your order will take place only when we despatch the Product(s) that you ordered from us.

Occasionally we may not be able to accept an order for the following reasons:

  • Your payment has declined
  • There is a pricing or product description error
  • We do not have your chosen item(s) in stock
  • Personalised products that contains reference to any Copyrighted information where you have not been granted permission
  • Personalised products that contains content that we deem to be of a threatening, offensive or discriminative mannor.

Bespoke Orders

It is your responsibility as the consumer to check that all spelling and grammar are correct, we will produce items exactly as they have been submitted, once ordered please double check your acknowledgement email, if you have made a mistake please get it touch as soon as possible as there may be time to rectify the mistake. However once an order has gone into production by us, it cannot be changed, If replacements are required, you will be charged for in full.


The price of the Goods shall be that stipulated on the Website.

The price is inclusive of VAT and excludes delivery charges.

All prices may be subject to change without prior notice


Payment of the price and delivery charges must be made in full before dispatch of the Goods.

Proof approval

Some of our products may require 'proof approval' before they are produced, In this instance we will contact you via email.

Orders needing approval may be placed on hold until they are confirmed by you.

Failure to respond to this or any other communication sent by us may result in your order arriving outside the specified delivery time. Proofs will be made with the layout, wording, spelling & grammar agreed in your order.

You are responsible for checking layout, spelling and grammar is correct.


We want all our customers to be completely happy with every order, so we offer a no quibble 14 day 'change of mind' policy should you wish to cancel an order because you have changed your mind. If you would like to cancel an unwanted order please notify us of your request to cancel via email or via our contact form within 14 days of receipt and we will provide full details.

For 'change of mind' cancellations we will refund the item cost, excluding the cost of the outgoing postage, except in cases where the item was faulty or incorrect.

In the instance of 'change of mind' we are not obligated to, and as such unfortunately can not, refund return costs.

A refund will be made within 30 days of the cancellation notice. All items must be returned in the same condition that you received them from us

Cancellation of bespoke Product(s)

In accordance to the Distance Selling and Online Trading Regulations, items which have been made to the customers' specifications, are exempt from standard cancellation rights. Personalised products made to order, cannot be re-sold and therefore we cannot accept returns if you have a change of mind.

Damaged/Faulty Goods

In the event of an error where Vellamaes is at fault; if the item has arrived damaged or a bespoke item has not been made with correct details as agreed on your order agreement, it must be reported within 7 days of receipt.

The Buyer shall be entitled to a replacement or a full refund (including delivery costs) plus any return postal charges if the Goods are in fact defective.

Where a replacement is agreed the original order cannot be changed, unless Vellamaes agree to this. If there is a lower financial difference, no refund will be given. If the value is greater, payment will be required.


The delivery period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate.

Goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order.

Overseas orders may be subject to import tax & duty, this is to be paid by the buyer.

We aim to ship non bespoke items and bespoke items that do not need proofs within 5 working days from full payment being received (unless otherwise specified on listing), bespoke orders that require proofs agreed will be dispatched within time period agreed between the buyer and Vellamaes

Please note timescales may change due to circumstances beyond our control these include but not limited to ill health, riot, terrorism, act of god , adverse weather (snow, wind, flood) strike or public road works. However we will endeavour to keep you as up to date as possible with your order.

Product Description

Whilst we do our best to describe each product as accurately as possible, all sizes quoted are approximate and measured in millimetres or centimetres. Slight various of the product may occur such as texture or colour due to the nature of the wood. Buyer must be aware the natural finish of wood may contain imperfections that are out of our control. Natural finishes of wood are NOT covered under returns for damaged goods. Please note slight variations can also occur dependent on the calibration of individual screens and monitors. All items from Vellamaes are for decoration purposes only and are strictly not toys. Due to the nature thats some products contain small parts they are not considered suitable for anyone under the age of 3 years.
